Yes, the obligatory Valentine’s Day post, my Hordeling.
I hope all is going well for you, and if you are so inclined, are having a wonderful day with your spouse / significant other / loved one.
We had a simple day. Some work on the house, some programming, and chocolate. I got the wife some of her favorite chocolate covered cherries. I’m still working my way through some of the chocolate she got me for Christmas. (She got me a LOT of chocolate. And yes, it is bad for me, which is why I portion it out slowly.)
We dropped off stuff for the grandkids. We got to hang out with one of my step-granddaughters for a chunk of the afternoon. We got her a Valentine’s Day card and some candy, and she got us a cute card with a chocolate lab puppy on it. (Chocolate lab, get it?)
Anyway, I’m keeping this short and sweet.
May the night be one of closeness and caring if you are with your mate, and if not, hopefully it is the start of something new with someone who has the potential to become one. And if your antisocial and don’t have anyone, I hope you’re being good to yourself and giving yourself a treat.
