Solved!: The Case of the Missing Email Sequence

Several days ago I wrote about my Email Service Provider changing the service plan I was on and the automated welcome sequence disappearing.

Well, things have been resolved now. The following morning I had an email from the person ‘higher up the chain of command’ who said that they had a different plan I needed to be on, one that allowed you to have one automated email sequence. They provided a handy link for me to use so I could register on the new plan.

I clicked the link, registered, and lo and behold, the automated email sequence is back again! It would have been better for them to include that link the first time around when I was downgrading back to a free plan with them. Just why do they have two free plans, anyway?

I’m trusting the welcome sequence is working but I don’t have any email addresses left to test it with. I don’t like subscribing and unsubscribing to my own email list as I’m not sure if the unsubscribes are counted against me somehow in their system.

If you know someone that might be interested in my missives, please send them to my newsletter page and have them sign-up. I’ll give them some free stories for doing so and it will help me out so I can see if the email automation sequence is working.

The one drawback to their new plan is I have to select another user on their system to be my ‘recommended newsletter’ that they can use to cross-promote within their algorithms. I’m guessing at some point someone could recommend my newsletter and it will start getting cross-promoted to other potential new subscribers. I’ll have to see if any of the authors I follow have their newsletter sent through my E.S.P. so I can add them as my recommended newsletter.

All is right with the world again, My Hordeling.
