Another of my clones makes an appearance

  • by

I had to run an errand for the wife the other day and pick something up from the store.

I went in, grabbed what she wanted, paid for it, and left. As I was leaving the store, a woman was walking up to the door and she glanced at me.

I smiled, walked to the car, got in, then closed the door. I was about to start the engine when I looked up. The woman was still looking at me. I smiled back and she started walking to the car. I rolled down the window.

“Yes?” I said.

“I’m staring, but I’m not staring” she said. She came closer. “You happen to look just like a man I know in Pennsylvania. His name is Lester and he runs a pizzeria.”

“Well,” I replied, “If I was going to run a restaurant, it’d probably be a pizzeria.”

She smiled, said good-bye and went into the store.

This happens to me All. The. Time.

For a long time while I was living in Texas, people would walk up to me and tell me they knew someone who either looked like me, or acted like me, or sometimes both. It seems the majority of these people lived in Oklahoma. From this I am forced to conclude that there is an illegal clone factory producing copies of me in Oklahoma. Now apparently my clones have spread from Texas and Oklahoma to as far as Pennsylvania.

Being the original I wonder if I can sue the factory for licensing rights? I assume I’m the original, at least. If someone has figured out how to industrially clone me, who says they haven’t implanted the personality in me making me think I’m the original? Also, I’d have to find the factory and the people running it before I can sue them. I feel it is only right that I should get a cut of whatever they are making off of copying me.

I’d appreciate it, my Hordeling, if you’d let me know of any sightings of me you may come across. I need to know how far this has spread.
