Got up this morning to find out it rained overnight. More rain was predicted for the day, and the next few days, as well.
It was also cold out. Cold and wet. My least favorite combination of weather.
I was quite fortunate that around the normal time to walk the dogs the rain had stopped. I get all three of them out for their morning constitutionals without getting drenched. I cut the walks short though, so I could make sure I got all three dogs out. Nearly half an hour later the rains started.
When we got back I noticed that Major Tom had an odd look on his face. Not so much a look as his lip is drooping. The right side of his mouth is hanging down, so much that it is notable. I don’t know if he might have had a stroke or something. Otherwise he seems perfectly fine, just the bottom of the lip sagging a bit.
We got more work done on the house. We’re getting more pictures hung up on the walls. (The wife has a LOT of pictures.)
At least with all the rain we don’t have to water the trees for a few days. None of them have died yet so I guess we’re doing something right.
We have to renew the registration on the car. I was going to do it online but we need the title number for the vehicle. We had to go through the unfiled stack of things to be filed so we could fid the registration notice to get the number. Found that, made an attempt to renew the registration. They lagged something or another so I need to call the DMV tomorrow to find out what’s up.
While going through the stack o’ filing I was sitting on the floor. Mistake. All three dogs had to come over and sit by me so they could get pets. It isn’t easy to make stacks ad sort papers while you have three dogs invading your space.
I’m diligently trying to come up with a flash fiction tale for the Quarterly log Hop, which is being posted this Wednesday. I’ve missed the previous three so I’d like to get something for this one.
