Today the wife and I tackled the second drawer of the Filing Cabinet of Dooooom! We got through all the folders, cleaned out and threw away old shtuff we didn’t need anymore, then put a lot of shtuff into the shred pile. We reclaimed nearly half of the total space in the drawer!
Then the wife went through a number of her photo albums and tossed out a number of photos. To say I’m totally flummoxed at this happening is an understatement. The wife holds onto photos like I hold onto books. That she would get rid of any of them is nigh unthinkable. Who is this person and what has she done with my wife? We managed to consolidate many of the photos she is keeping into one album.
Third, I’m making progress on the dice tower. In between formatting the wife’s books and doing a beta read for a friend, I’m taking little moments of time to either cut out and score the pieces, or glue them together. It also takes time for the glue to dry so that creates a few delays as well.
Finally, the only arena I’m not making progress in is writing. The deadline for the second Holly’s Writing Classes anthology is this coming up Wednesday. The theme this year is vampires. I’ve got a story idea but it isn’t coming together the way I hoped. Also, the quarterly Blog Hop is coming up at the end of the month and I need to get the next part of Jaxon Eidolon’s story done. I may have to break a rule and do some writing tomorrow on a Sunday. I try not to do any work on Sundays as I did that for most of my adult life once I entered the tech field as a living. I like having a day off where I’m not required to do anything and can do what I want, like read.
Anyway, I’m making progress on some fronts so I’ll consider that a win.
