So, today there was a total solar eclipse across Greenland, Iceland, and Northern Spain. Other places on Planet Earth had partial eclipses. Here in my area we had some cloud cover at the time so we didn’t get to experience it. Then again we had something like a nine percent eclipse so we weren’t going to get much of it anyway.
More importantly though, gravity reversed itself for approximately seven and a half seconds this morning! This was predicted by NASA several years ago in a secret document they released which was quickly suppressed. In addition to the total solar eclipse, seven of the nine planets in our solar system were in conjunction, meaning they all lined up in a row. (Despite what Neil de Grasse Tyson says I still consider Pluto a planet. Somebody still loves you Pluto!) All of these events combined to bring about the reversal of gravity for several seconds this morning.
Yeah. < heavy sigh >
People apparently will believe anything. I’m not sure how all these things were supposed to reverse gravity. Maybe the planets being in conjunction were supposed to have a greater gravitic pull than what we have on Earth? And why only seven ad a half seconds? Maybe the planets were only in perfect alignment for that long?
See, this is why we have the Scientific Method. You make a hypothesis about how something works. You run tests on your hypothesis. You exam the data and make a determination as to whether your hypothesis was correct or not.
Then, you can distribute your work to other scientists so they can repeat your experiment. If they get the same results, you’re probably on to something.
Since no one floated away this morning (not to my knowledge at any rate) then I think we can conclude that the reversal of gravity didn’t happen. I’m certainly open to anyone who wants to present evidence to support the opposite of that assertion.
On the whole, I rather like gravity. It keeps all my books in place.
