So, I told you about the other day when my neighbor dropped off a basket of goodies for walking their dog. Inside the basket of goodies was the book The Novel 100: A Ranking of the Greatest Novels of All Time by Daniel S. Burt.
If you’ve followed me for any length of time you know I love books, so I was excited to get the book. It didn’t hurt that the first book listed is one of my favorite stories – Don Quixote. It ends up with Gone With The Wind.
The author states that this is his own personal rankings and there wasn’t much scientific thought behind his process of selection. Still, it is a good list of books.
I feel like I should go through the list and read each one, then compare my impressions of the book against what Daniel Burt has to say about the book. It’s not like I don’t have enough things to keep me busy already. I really don’t need another project on my list right now.
Once I finish off my current read (Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League, et. al. by The Reno Kid and E. M. Rauch) I’ll have to start on this list and see if I can make it all the way through. I’ve been meaning to pick up Don Quixote again and read it over.
