Well, one and a half down. I completed one of the zombie tales this evening. I finally brought the story down from the thirty thousand foot level and made it about a single person dealing with a problem. The previous attempts at writing the story helped me flesh out the backstory ad get to the root of what my Muse wanted the story to be about.
I say ‘one and a half’ because I figured out the story for the last Indie Autor Advent Calendar. I scrapped the beginning I’d written and started over. It too suffered from not being personal enough, but I got a handle on it and I think my Muse is on the right track.
In other news, we are taking Magdalena in tomorrow to get spayed. I don’t think she will be too happy about that. She’ll also most likely have to wear a cone, which will be problematic for her moving through the house. There are one or two tight spaces getting around and I’m sure she’ll be banging the cone against the furniture as she goes through the rooms.
In the last few days, Magdalena has started playing with Sirocco. The two of them start jumping around ad Major Tom gets so jealous. He starts growling and snarling and pouncing on the both of them, breaking things up. But over the last day or so even he is coming around. He still growls but it is more of his “I’m complaining” growl instead of his “I’m going to rip your head off” growl. He chased Sirocco away so he could play with Magdalena!
My one concern is that they are going to break the furniture. They jump around and get kinda rough but so far they’ve managed to not slam into anything. I do my best to redirect them outside when they get going. Maybe they will settle down some after Magdalena has her surgery tomorrow.
