Boston Pops does Star Wars

  • by

Going to keep his short and sweet as it is late and I need to get some sleep.

I just got home from seeing the Boston Pops present Star Wars: The Story in Music. Keith Lockhart conducted the orchestra as they played pieces from all nine movies, which of course was scored by the incomparable John Williams. Jeremiah Kissell acted as the narrator, aptly summarizing the story with bits of humor, and taking the audience through the overall plot of the nine films.

When we arrived at the venue (I went with two old college buddies) a docent was handing out lightsabers. I grabbed one, because lightsaber. Handing them out to small kids, however, may not have been the best idea as they were running rampant, swinging at anything that moved, but especially at other kids with lightsabers.

The night was fun and if you have the chance to go see this production I recommend it.

Hope you got to do something fun this evening, my Hordeling.
