It’s always interesting when I play Scrabble. I get lots of good words and letters in my hand but often I don’t have any way to play them.
For instance I’ve gotten words like ‘nebula’ and ‘muerte’ (which is not playable because it’s a Spanish word), and ‘toity’ (but no hoity to go with it.)

I get interesting sets of letters with the blank tile too. One Time I got ‘dia_ete’ i my hand. If I had a free ‘r’ on the board I could have made ‘diameter’. If I had a free ‘s’ on the board I could have made ‘diabetes’.

Another time I had ‘toil_t’ in my hand. My mind must have been in the toilet because I feel like I could have made something with that but just couldn’t put my finger on it.

There are other times I get names, which aren’t playable. I’ve had ‘Quixote’, ‘Frodo’ and ‘Tombdil’ (which looks a lot like Tom Bombadil to me) and ‘Porgy’ (from Porgy ad Bess.)

I’ve made some good plays, like playing the word ‘Pi’ on Pi Day (3.14).

I got to play the word ‘grok’ one time, which was cool.

I made a play where I played ‘QAT’ on top of ‘INS’ which also gave me ‘qi’ and ‘an’.

My most recent best play was playing ‘macho’ and ‘my’ on a triple word score place and got fifty points!

Anyway, I usually end up having to play simple words like ‘and’, ‘neat’, or ‘use’ – all low point value words. or I end up having to play a low point value word where it sets up someone else getting to take a double or triple word score spot.
Of course, it’s not a Scrabble game if we don’t have a cat in the Scrabble box. Elfie was finally able to take over that duty without George intimidating her and making her exit.

I hope you’re getting to do some fun things in your world, my Hordeling.
