Sorry for the radio silence yesterday, my Hordeling.
Yesterday afternoon the wife was not doing well. She was tired and her hands were shaking, just generally feeling run down.
Later she was getting into bed and slipped, then she rolled to the floor. I can’t get her up when this happens so I called our neighbor who is a EMT. Fortunately he was home.
He came over and was talking with the wife when he suggested we call 9-1-1 for a lift assist. I got on the phone and called, then got the dogs in the backyard so they wouldn’t be underfoot when the EMTs arrived.
The EMTs got here in a short time. They were going to do a lift assist and get a few vitals. At this point the wife spoke up and said she thought she should go to the ER since she was feeling light-headed and dizzy.
The EMTs took her vitals and said from what they could tell she was having a possible cardiac event. They couldn’t tell for sure but they had to treat her as if she was having one. They loaded her up in the ambulance and took her to the ER.
So, that was my night last night. I didn’t have the opportunity to post.
This morning I had to get up and get the wee doggy to the vet. We got out later than I wanted and by the time we got to the vet they were packed. Four hours later, the vet finally looked Sirocco over and pronounced him fit for walks. That’s a relief as Sirocco has been highly annoyed when being passed over for morning walks during the last week. Tomorrow he gets back in the walking rotation. I’m sure he’ll be happy about that.
