Update on Sirocco – he fared well over night. I found him sleeping on the couch when I woke up this morning, showing that he was capable of moving through the house and jumping up on the couch. He went for his morning walk and showed no signs of distress. I’m guessing he is OK, but he (understandably) still kept away from Magdalena as much as possible today.
Blinding Flash of the Obvious (B.F.O.) – baby bunnies are just so gosh darned cute! We have several of them running around the neighborhood. Also, they show no signs of being afraid of cars. They will sit in the middle of the road as I pull right up to them. They won’t move if you honk the horn at them. I have to get out of the car to shoo them out of the way. Then they run along the road in front of your car as you’re moving forward until they eventually veer off and go into the tall grass on the side of the road. They are either very brave or very stupid. (Sometimes they are one and the same.)
I’m craving Dr. Pepper. Like, ‘I want to chug a two liter bottle, and possibly a second one’ crave. I wonder if that means I’m having some deficiency in my body, kind of like how if you crave chocolate all the time (guilty, as charged) you need more magnesium in your diet?
The wife is doing well. She still has a few more weeks of antibiotics to get through but overall she is improving. We’re hoping to et her out of the long-term are facility for lunch tomorrow.
I saw Superman. Overall, it was enjoyable. A slightly different take on the character, and his origin. This is the first Superman movie I can think of that brings Krypto (the Superdog) into the picture. Many of he best parts of the movie were the interactions between Superman and Krypto. The backup heroes (Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific) as well as the villain (Lex Luthor, of course) were all well acted but the characterizations were slightly off from what I think of the characters. If Superman is going to be a little off, I guess the other heroes can be a little off as well.
