The day started with a light drizzle that didn’t last long. Got the dogs walked, breakfast, all that stuff.
We went to the pool to join the morning water exercise class. The weather was fine, even though rain was reported for the morning. Skies were perfectly clear and sunny.
Went to get groceries. Skies still sunny.
Got home, had lunch, got to work on the computer.
Then it started. At first it was just some rain. One of those light rains that makes you just want to curl up in a corner with a good book.
Soon enough, though, it escalated. Fast.
The rain started coming down in buckets. The wind picked up until it was howling. It sounded like a hurricane was going through the area.
It ended nearly as quick as it started. One minute, pounding rain and howling wind. The next minute, back to the gentle rain. Then nothing. I checked outside. Other than some leaves blown off the trees everything else seems to be intact
The skies remained overcast and we had little sprinkles now and again, but nothing like the mid-day storm.
I’m hoping that isn’t going to be a common occurrence but past experience tells me it is likely to be the case.
