Got up at 6:00 AM, walked the dogs, had breakfast, and a shower.
Spent the morning catching up on stuff I didn’t get done while we were off doing other things over the last several days. Got domestic things like the dishes done ad some laundry.
We had some folks come over to do some pressure washing on the house and some yard work. Major Tom bolted out the front door when they arrived so he could run around and meet them. Sirocco was not happy about this turn of events because he wanted to go out to meet the workers. He pouted about it the whole time they were working. I arranged for the folks to come by to give him some attention and pets before they left. He enjoyed that.
During the afternoon got a little work on some writing projects – getting some thoughts down, but no actual writing. I need to get moving on that.
Went out this evening with a friend of ours to dinner. She wasn’t quite ready to go when we arrived to pick her up so while we waited I made friends with the three stray cats near her place. We communed and they got lots of scritches. I hope they have someplace warm to stay because temps are supposed to drop into the 20s (deg. F, -1 to -6 deg C) Monday.
Had a nice dinner but the wife’s back pain kicked in while we were eating. When we finally got home, the outside lights, the kitchen lights, and the dining room lights were out. Checked the breaker box but nothing had flipped. Reset the circuit the lights were on, but no luck. The lights came on a few hours later. No explanation.
Side note – the lights just went off again while I was typing this. Getting a bit concerned about this.
Spent the evening watching TV.
Which brings us to now, me writing this missive. Not really a lot going on today. I’m fine with that.
I really should have gotten more work done on my writing projects but didn’t. Well, tomorrow is another day to try and get it write (pun intended).
