Recovering

  • by

Well, I spent much of the day doing what I always do to recover. Sleep.

With snow on the ground I’m not walking the dogs. They’d probably enjoy it but I fear Magdalena would take off running and drag me behind her, with no traction to be able to stop her.

I was up for a little while around 7:00 AM, but went back to bed. Didn’t sleep well, but I at least got a little rest. I think I got up around 11:00 AM and got a much needed hot shower.

Since we weren’t heading out of the house we did some cleaning. Had lunch. Got a little work done on the computer.

Went back to sleep for a good chunk of the afternoon. Still felt tired after that but I guess I’m improving.

Tried a new recipe for mac and cheese for dinner, although I don’t think it turned out as well as it could have since we didn’t have any half and half to use for making the sauce. I think it turned out okay and edible but the wife was not a fan. I’d like to try it again sometime with the proper ingredients and see if it turns out any better.

Spent the evening watching some TV and clearing out emails.

Tomorrow the wife has an appointment in the morning. I’m not sure that we will make it there or not. There is plenty of snow on the ground so just getting her out of the house will be a challenge. Then there’s driving throw the snow, which will be a new experience for me. I’ll have to make sure I get out early enough to get the car warmed up and all the widows defrosted.

Life continues to be one big adventure.

I hope all the adventure in your life is non-threatening, my Hordeling.
