A few days ago, we had nice weather. Sunny, around 60 deg F (15.5 deg. C), no winds. It was good. Also, I started getting some type of sinus crud so I slept in for most of the morning.
Yesterday, it started snowing. Again. At first the snow wasn’t sticking to anything, but that changed as evening rolled around. The temperature started plummeting. Then the winds started howling. Even though it has been snowing most of the last 24 hours, there’s only a small amount of snow on he ground as the wind keeps kicking it all over the place.
Consequently, we were inside all day. Well, mostly.
The wife had several of her prescriptions come in at the pharmacy. I got in the car, ad truly had my first drive in the snow. All the others have been when it stopped snowing and I was driving in the accumulated white stuff on the ground. This time, it was still falling. It looks kind f like the main viewscreen on the Enterprise in Star Trek, as they warp through space and the stars are passing them by. (At least in TOS, later series we get the red shift streaks.) I’m driving and all these little white flakes are coming at me, then past me. I managed to get to the pharmacy and back without incident.
I spent some time in the afternoon trying to get a few things on eBay. The wife just throws up some pictures and list things. I like to get as many of the details right (studio, format, actors, etc.) because if I don’t eBay throws hissy fits and won’t list my items because I don’t have enough details. It takes a while to enter all the data in but I think it also helps with eBay’s algorithms on how it shows your items to potential buyers. We’ll see how it goes.
The evening was spent paying some bills, making and eating dinner, ad watching some TV.
Honestly, the most exciting part of the day was heating salsa and queso for the wife to snack on.
Days like these might seem boring to most, but I’m perfectly fine with that. I don’t need lots of excitement or stimulation to make my day exciting. If nothing else, it sets the Muse on fire. If she has a boring day, she starts putting together elements for stories. I’m perfectly fine with slow, unexciting days. I consider any day I’m not in a prison, a hospital, or an active military war zone a good day.
